Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched key projects worth Rs.5,500 Crore in Prayagraj. These projects were aimed at improving the city’s infrastructure ahead of the upcoming Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj.
He visited Prayagraj and started his visit with a puja ceremony and holy darshan of Sangam. The Sangam is also known as Triveni Sangam and is the confluence of three rivers – Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Saraswati is a mystical river that emerges from the underground.
Later, he visited the most prominent religious site in Prayagraj known as the Akshay Vat Vriksh. This is a sacred Banyan tree that has existed since the ages of Vedas and Puranas. He performed a puja at the site and then visited the holy temples Hanuman Mandir and Saraswati Koop.
He also visited the Kumbh Mela grounds and exhibition site. This is the place where millions of devotees will gather during the Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel were with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during this event. PM Modi launched projects for roads, temple corridors, ghats, riverfront, and sewage treatment. These will be done to improve waste management facilities and prevent untreated waste from entering the sacred river waters.
The projects include the inauguration of major temple corridors. Bharadwaj Ashram corridor, Akshayvat corridor, Hanuman Mandir corridor and Shringverpur Dham corridor are set to be inaugurated. These will allow smooth access to these temples for pilgrims and tourists.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated a newly developed AI chatbot called Kumbh Sah'AI'yak chatbot. Additionally, he launched many projects with the aim of developing the city’s infrastructure like drinking water supply and power supply. All these measures are set to improve the overall infrastructure and basic amenities of Prayagraj ahead of the Maha Kumbh 2025.
PM Narendra Modi hailed the Kumbh Mela 2025 as a ‘mahayagya of unity’. He highlighted the fact that Kumbh Mela 2025 will take India’s culture and spirituality to new heights and that this cultural festival will eliminate all caste differences.
He was addressing a public meeting in Prayagraj and inaugurated many development projects. These were the 167 projects which amounted to Rs.5,500 crore. The key aim of these projects was to improve the infrastructure during the Mahakumbh 2025 at Prayagraj.
One such project was the inauguration of a new chatbot called Sah'AI'yak Chatbot. This chatbot is based on Artificial Intelligence. Its main aim was to improve communication among devotees attending the Mahakumbh 2025.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his visit to Prayagraj with a puja and darshan at the holy Sangam, where the sacred rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati meet. Before the puja, the PM went on a river cruise. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel also attended this event.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 is going to take place on January 13, 2025, and concludes with the holy festival of Maha Shivratri on February 26, 2025. The event duration will be 45 days.
