The biggest Akharas is the Shri Panchdashnaam Juna Akhara.

Kinnar Akhara: Paradigm Shift

Kinnar, for the first time, were treated as same respected beings and their followers were allowed to accompany them during this male-dominated event. It falls under Juna Akhara. This is the first interaction of the devotees and travellers with the Kinnar priest and saints; an unparalleled experience for both. The next group coming for the Kumbh Mela of 2025 will be large numbers, and the whole country will seek their blessing.

Bhandara: Equal Fest for All

Bhandara is the open free meal arranged for by various Akharas or sponsors. This can be accessed by anyone. You will just stretch out your hand and grab the food. The majority of the pilgrims will be taken as Prasad or the holy food offered to God.

Please consider paying the Akhara if you can afford to purchase more food so that the pilgrims are continued supplied. Pay what you feel is enough. This food is that which one no one asks to be paid for it; it is also what someone pays for.
