Haridwar is a land of temples, and Mansa Devi Temple is the most famous temples that you should visit during your trip to Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2021. Mansa Devi Temple is one of the three Siddha Peeths of Haridwar, and every devotee has full faith in Mansa Devi Temple to grant their wishes. They tie a thread to the tree besides the temple, and once their wishes are granted, they return back to the temple and untie the thread.

Mansa Devi is the goddess that was born out of the mind of Lord Shiva and the temple is the abode of Mansa Devi. Inside there are two idols, one with eight arms and the other with five arms and three heads. The temple is built atop Bilwa Parvat, a small hillock, and the ropeway popular as Mansa Devi Udankhatola is the easiest way to reach the temple. But there also is the 3 km long trekking route, which starts from Har ki Pauri and is an uphill pedestrian path that demands physical fitness of the visitor. The temple offers magnificent views of Haridwar and River Ganga. On the way to the temple, you can buy coconuts, fruits, garlands as offering to Goddess Mansa Devi.

The temple is open on all days from 8 am to 5 pm and is closed during lunch hours of 12 noon to 2 pm. As the temple is located close to Har ki Pauri, it is advised to come here early in the morning to avoid the lines to book tickets to the ropeway.
